Poinsettias, Mexican too!

Poinsettias, Mexican Too!
Poinsettia tree by Sarah Harrop

Me: Hey, you know where poinsettias come from?

Anjelica:  Where?

Me:  Mexico!  They actually originated in Mexico.  They’re called nochebuena there and have since been sent all over the world.

Anjelica:  Oh yeah?

Me:  Yup, I saw a report about it the other day.  They’re shipped from Mexico all over the world now, and the U.S. is the largest consumer of poinsettias today.

And guess what?  It’s actually true.  I don’t think Anjelica was as excited about this little fact as I was, but I also found this little video below to corroborate my story.  jaja!

¿Cómo la ven?  One more thing that was made in Mexico first!
