We are all strangers together

The writer in me is rejoicing at my apparent rediscovery of the written word. I just finished watching the documentary City of Gold, which basically chronicles the story and writing style of one Los Angeles based Pulitzer Prize winning food critic and writer, Mr. Jonathan Gold.

It’s hard to explain in words, ironically, but something inside has clicked. You know that feeling when you know you’re shifting in your life, but you’re not entirely sure where to, or how, or even why. Then all of a sudden things start to feel like they’re coming together, and you’re still not entirely sure how or why. Or even where you’re headed, but you feel right about everything and you trust that things are going to work out the way they are supposed to.

Yeah, that’s it. That’s exactly the feeling.

I know that may not make a lot of sense to a lot of others, but it does to me. I really enjoyed these lines from the documentary especially.

“We are all citizens of the world. We are all strangers, together.”
