So today, March 20, 2012, is National Proposal Day. Yes, as in marriage proposals. A day to commemorate that special day that for most couples ended in marriage, family and hopefully not divorce. For many, it’s also a time to remember just how special, or not, their marriage proposals actually were.
A note here. Now regardless of how unromantic your husband’s proposal might have been, ladies, popping the question is no easy feat! Y’all have no idea how long it takes for us to work up the nerve to ask those four words: will you marry me?
Why? Because for us guys it’s all about winning or losing. Either things go beautifully and you say YES! and we are overjoyed like this guy:[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hya9xxn7CA0]
Or you say NO, I’m sorry I can’t, or worst of all, you just run off, and we’re left behind devastated and humiliated, like these poor men.[youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22ec8o7p2bI]
You do the math. The pressure is incredible!
Fortunately, when it all goes well, the memories of that special moment can last forever.
