Flea Market Finds

La pulga.  Like window shopping, only better!  Or at least that’s how Anjelica put it this weekend after we hit up a couple of flea markets in Houston.  It had been a while since we had done so, but this past Saturday the weather was actually cool enough to enjoy.

Part of the fun of going to the pulga is just finding odds and ends, trinkets, things that people have randomly concocted, and for me, the  hustle and bustle of a bunch of families just strolling through the flea market having a good time.

This weekend was no different.

We saw.  We smelled.  We heard.  We ate.  And like a lot of the other pulga shoppers on any given Saturday or Sunday, we didn’t actually do a whole lot of shopping.  Here’s some of what we saw:

The genuine leather poncho was only $25. What a bargain! And the Christmas lights, well, they’re just fun!
San Marcos covers, in every variety. Nothing keeps you warmer on a long lonely night.
This little purse, Anjelica thought it was cute.
Espigas de hilo, for crocheting. Also in all kinds of varieties… and cheaper than at the big box stores for sure.
They had handmade rosaries. You can’t tell, but the ones on the other end (the yellow ones) were made of plastic.
A room full of piñatas. We had to stop and stare.
And stare some more… while munching on some snacks, jaja!
