Bringing our DIY Halloween Costumes to TV!!

Yes, this title definitely commands a double exclamation point!! We had no idea our DIY Halloween Costume series would land us a segment on CBS’s Great Day Houston here in Houston. But it did. And when the call came through we were so excited and ready to say yes! This has been such a fun passion project that sharing it with others is really what it’s all about for us. Our models, of course, were familia and they did awesome!

Please watch the video and tell us what you’re wearing this Halloween.

If you’re still not sure, hit the your local thrift store.

Just saying! 🙂

Dress up for Halloween: 80’s Chic!

What would a DIY Halloween Costume series be without a little 80’s flare? Well, not complete if you ask us. For this look, the acid wash denim jacket came out, as did the fun and colorful makeup from yesteryear.

Come to think about it, this look may just be the perfect one for this Halloween. What do you say? Which look has been your favorite so far?

You can’t do the “valley girl” #80s look without the sass. #Halloween look series. #demilavato

Dress up for Halloween: Madeline

Can you believe our DIY Halloween Costume series is coming to an end? This will definitely go down as a Halloween to remember at Casa Los Metiches 🙂 Our latest look is from the Madeline book series. Tell us you do remember the books! They were awesome.

This look also took the longest as it was pretty much made from scratch. Yeah, believe it or not, it’s not that easy to find an adult-sized Madeline costume these days. What are your thoughts? Any other looks we should consider before the big day??

Dress up for Halloween: “Anything for Salinas!”

Bidi bidi bom bom. Need we say more? We’re Tejanos and we’re die hard fans of the late and great Selena Quintanilla Perez. Of course she was going to be a part of Anjelica’s DIY looks for Halloween.

Obvio. In the most respectful way possible. We hope you’ll enjoy it as much as we have. The proof is in the pudding. Just check out the video below!

Bidi bidi bidi bidi bom bom!

Yes I did. An homage to #Selena while I still had the look. Enjoy.

Dress up for Halloween: Morticia Addams

How do you follow up “The Queen Witch?” Why with Morticia Addams of course! You can’t watch The Addams Family movies and not get into the spirit of Halloween. So for those of you who are big fans of Morticia like we are, eat your heart out! This new costume idea by Anjelica is our favorite so far.

Have you picked out your costume yet?

Happy Halloween! #halloween #addamsfamily #morticiaaddams
