Rural signals

Disclosure: I have partnered with Cricket Wireless as a 2014 Blog Ambassador. All opinions are my own.

It seems every year we have the same dilemma for Easter. How will we be spending this holiday? I mean, we have learned to share most holidays between my family in Houston and Juan’s family in Rosenberg, Texas …about an hour away by car. But it seems that sometimes our downfall is quite simply timing.

It’s all about timing. We both love spending time with our families, so as you can imagine, we both want to spend as much time as we can with our respective families. This means we eat twice as much, we talk a lot more, and playing with the kids is a thing of double duty, as is taking plenty of pictures. I especially like to upload my images right away, in the moment, to Instagram, Twitter or Facebook. It doesn’t matter where I am, I want to be able to upload instantly (yes, I am a narcissists about instant gratification).

In the country, this can be challenging at times. Juan’s parents live down a farm road, and it often seems like everyone has network connection issues with their devices. It’s the real deal out there! Some of Juan’s family, in fact, have to stand outside to get better service or risk having their calls drop. I really dislike being booted from an app while trying to upload a picture.

I mean when you have already decided on the filter that looks best, or typed out a witty description, it’s not cool or funny to have to do it all over again. It’s just not the same. Service from Cricket Wireless, though, has held up to my standards… even in the most rural of locations 🙂

I do not have to stand outside of Juan’s moms house to pick up a strong signal. And that I can appreciate!
